Located at Paseo de Gracia, the exposition is structured around the material held in the Antoni de Montpalau textile Collection.Barcelona prêt-a-porter

Timeline fashionThis expo looks back at 50 years of the recent history of prêt-a-porter fashion in Catalonia, from 1958 to 2008. “This period saw the introduction and consolidation of the design and manufacture mass-produced ready-to-wear clothing, a phenomenon that revitalized the textile industry in Catalonia and which was embraced by the major haute-couture fashion houses and high-end and low-cost clothing manufacturers, as well as small-scale couturiers and tailors, designers and boutiques”- affirmed Josep Casamartina i Parassols, exhibition curator.Barcelona fashion

Designers such as Lydia Delgado, Teresa Helbig, Arman Basi, Purificacion Garcia. Javier Simorra, Sita Murt and brands like Etxart & Panno, Mango and Desigual, showed their designs in this exhibition.

Over 300 pieces will be displayed during the 9 months that the exhibition will run for. This will be refreshed on two occasions: October 2013 and January 2014.

Fashion timelineThe expo was well organized with a timeline perfectly explained and multiple videos with interviews and runways to understand the evolution of prêt-a-porter.

Monica Cordera´s necklaces

Monica CorderaI find necklaces as one of the most important complements when styling an outfit. That´s why I always look for pieces that are different than the rest and that can boost any look I wear.

In my continuous search for independent designers with great taste I found out Monica Cordera, a Spanish designer who has made a name inside the fashion world.

Last week I made my first purchase on her complements, as she also has clothing, and I have to say I loved them both. The flowers necklace was just perfect. It is easy to mix and style and it has this feminine touch that I love. On the other hand, I also bought a colorful necklace that can be either for day or night or formal to informal.

Suki Waterhouse

Suki WaterhouseNot only is she a model, actress, photographer and composer, but she is also Bradley Cooper´s latest conquest. She is Suki Waterhouse.

Her hipster style mixed with the 60’s aesthetics with a grunge finale has this je ne sais quoi that differs her from any celebrity. Always adding a feminine touch to her styling, Suki finds attitude as the best accessory.

As part of the fashion industry with several campaigns as Saas&Bide, H&M, Balenciaga and Burberry, she affirms that reinventing herself is what she most enjoys about fashion.

This it girl can be frequently spotted with Cara Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger and Alexa Chung at the top events, but also with her Burberry trench, creepers from Union Jack and a classic British cap, which are her musts. It girls
